Sandy, do you have any other information on Miley Cofield and Johnson Matthews?
Any known children? Johnson is in Cumberland co. NC census 1820, and they have one female child under 5. (an infant since they married in 1819.) I don't find him in NC 1830 but there's a Johnson Matthews in Houston Co. GA in 1830. Do you know if Coffields and Matthews moved to Georgia between 1820-1830? My Jacob Matthews(son of Simon) did , probably before 1830, but I can't find him in any county although I know he married in Ga in 1833. Simon and Johnson Matthews were cousins.
