Dicy Coffield, born about 1800 and Staten Brown, born about 1799 were the parents of my great grandfather, William Wesley Brown who was born on Jan. 9, 1823 in North Carolina.
I believe that Dicy Coffield who was living in Bertie Cnty., N.C. in 1820 with two small children in the home was my gggrandmother.
Doess anyone know the names of these children? Where was Dicy born and who were her parents?
Staten Brown and family were living in Halifax Cnty., N.C. in 1830 with 6 children in the home. One child was William Wesley and I believe that another son was Sandy Brown, born about 1825. I have no idea of the names of the other children.
Does anyone know the names of the children in the home of Staten Brown in 1830. Does anyone know the names of the parents of Staten Brown?
I have hit a brick wall researching this family and any help and/or leads will be greatly appreciated.
