OBIT-Frances Patricia McLaughlin, 84, dau of Harvey and Frances [Barter] Cohn
MERRIMACK, N.H. —Frances Patricia McLaughlin "Patty" 84, of Merrimack, N.H., passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, N.H.
Patty was born on March 15, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the daughter of Harvey Cohn, who was an athletic director, great distance runner and trainer for the Boston Celtics and Frances Barter Cohn, who was a homemaker. She had one brother, Harvey Cohn, M.D., who is deceased. Married to Neal McLaughlin, who is predeceased, and survived by her three children, William Chaprales, Arthur Chaprales and Valerie Iodice, 7 grandchildren, Eleanor Loconte, Nicholas Chaprales, Melissa Chaprales, Arthur Chaprales, Jr., Charles Chaprales, Adam Chaprales and Dennis Chaprales.
She graduated from Medford High School and worked for years as a waitress that she owned and operated with her first husband in Harvard Square. Patty resided for years in Massachusetts and Cape Cod, and also in Florida and New Hampshire in her later years. Patty loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed golfing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patty was loved by everyone who met her and she will be greatly missed.
