Dear Amy,
I was delighted to receive your message after such a long time. I have found out some information about my family in the meantime. I have a cousin called Cindy who still lives in St Louis. She has two brothers called Jack and Robert. Her Mum is called Lois May. She is my dads sister. My dad is called Robert. He is 81 and still in good health, thank goodness! He tells me that he had a brother called Jim (Deceased)
a sister called Verna Lee ( in Florida) a half sister called Methyl (deceased) who was the daughter of his mothers first marriage. ( his mother's name was Lena) His dad was called Guy and came from a very large family! My dad tells us very amusing stories about his family. My ambition is to put together my family tree! My dad reckons that anyone with the name spelt COLBORN must be related but then again my dad is not always right! I knowe the original owner of the name came from Scotland and emigrated to America. I think he married a Red Indian so there is all sorts of mixed blood in me and my sister. (we think that this is why we are both zany!) This is as much as I know but my search continues! I reckon we must be related in some way but even if we are not it is good to find someone else with this unusual surname! My name now is Cooper (Common and Boring) I am desperate to find relatives before it is too late. Find out what you can and keep in touch! It was a real lift that someone had replied to my message. Linda
