Dear Linda,
From what I have read on your emails, it sounds like your COLBORN family was in Noble, Illinois or Indiana in the early settling of the western (at that time) of the USA. I believe you mentioned a Guy Colborn who I think was in that area.
There is a Donna Colborn who lives in Wisconsin who is seeking information which may be related to what you are seeking. If she reads this posting, she may contact you.
Since I am a COLBORN, I have spent many years in the attempt to trace my roots to tie down all the loose ends, including two trips to England, but with no success.
