I am searching the place in Europe where my ancestor came from around 1783.Is it in England, in Germany, in France? Do you think you can help me?
His name was JEAN-BAPTISTE COLPRON. But it may be COLEBRAN or COLBORN or else...he was married to Marguerite Otten or Ott or Auten
around 1780 and came to Canada around 1783 with their young son George. They spoke only german and were catholics. They said to be alsacians.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
