Yes, Leah, I know the feeling of not having enough time! I will be in Brisbane later this month, but have only one day to spend at Archives. I had a quick look last time I was there, and found one, maybe two, ship entries through Cairns in the late C19. I will take more info with me this time so that I can confirm names. I think one was a William, which was the name of Matthew's grandfather. Matt's family pronounced their name as 'Cokely' until this generation; Matt's dad was told it was 'very important'. (I understand the social significance since reading the rather good history which brought me to this site!)If I find anything relevant on my trip, I will let you know. Cheers, Gillian
