Colclough Family Genealogy Forum

I am researching a sad event which took place in Tipperary around 100 years ago. A Colclough man (known locally as Coakley) became tenant on disputed lands at Shanbally, Clogheen, and was shot by a local man who had - it is said - been paid to commit the foul act. I have tried censuses and 'birth, marriage, and death' records but can find nothing. A Susan Colclough is mentioned in 1931 in connection with the Shanbally farm when it was taken over by the Irish land Commission. It is possible the family did not live at the Shanbally farm as I can find no mention of them in the online census returns. Perhaps a look at the actual censuses in the next few days will show something.
I would appreciate any help. I can guarantee I will be treating the story with sensitivity.
Thanks
