Hello Ed,

Thanks for your message. First, to answer your question about how far your direct line goes in the Coldiron Family Genealogy book, it goes down to your great-grandparents Rossie Coldiron and Emanuel Henderson. Since the book was published I have added Emanuel's and Rossie's six children to the Coldiron database, but they are not in the book. The book has additional data for Rossie's brother Ambrose Walter Coldiron's family, and for sister Bessie's (Tedder) family.

At the time the book was published, I had Rossie's first name as Rose. Since then I have communicated with a couple of ladies working on this line and they said her name was Rossie, which I have adopted.

Perhaps you can clear up a question for me. I show Rossie's father, James Walter Coldiron, first married to Harriet Bare. For some time, I have been suspicious that Harriet's maiden name may not be Bare. You indicate that is was Davis. Is this correct?

CEMETERY RECORDS -- I have a death date of 10 Feb 1939 for James Walter Coldiron, and he died in Lawrence Co., OH. I do not know where he is buried. His brother Jesse, who married Flora Sheets, is buried in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey, Wyandot Co., OH. I do not have any death or burial information for their brother Isaac Peter Coldiron.

I would like to communicate with you further to compile additional records of Rossie's and Emanuel's childrens families. I am still researching all Coldiron families and compiling data and information on as many families as I can identify. Someday I will probably publish an updated Coldiron Family Genealogy book and will include all the latest information I have on all families. (That's probably a few years away, at best.)

You can contact me directly at the e-mail address below for follow-up discussions. I will gladly share information.

Otto G. Coldiron
