Jeff -- Here's the information I have. It was obtained (for the most part) from Emmett Bobby Coldiron. I do not have a death date for George W. Coldiron (husband of Mary Catherine Bailey). However, I have read the minutes of the Coldiron reunions in OH/KY in the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's, and these minutes show that George attended the August 1948 Coldiron reunion in Londonderry, OH. The minutes for 1949 indicate he passed away at the home of his son John A. Coldiron of Wheelersburg. From this statement, I have recorded his death place as Wheelersburg, Scioto Co., OH. Also, while I have suspected his middle name was Washington, my records only show a middle initial of W.
You indicate that George's son John Allen Coldiron died at the VA Hospital in Ross Co., OH. The death place as given to me by Emmett was "a nursing home in Portsmouth, Scioto Co., OH." Do you have a firm source for the death place you have recorded? If so, I would like to change my records.
Thanks for the cemetery name (Memorial Park Cemetery) where George, Mary, John and Julia are buried. I had their burial place as Wheelersburg but did not know the name of the cemetery.
