Elizabeth Coldiron/William Hornbarrier

I found a marriage record for Elizabeth Coldiron and William Hornbarrier on the LDS site, says they were married October 22, 1793 in Rowan Co., NC. I am trying to connect William/Elizabeth to Lavina Hornbarrier who married Jacob Weaver January 11, 1842 in Rowan Co. The 1850 NC census lists Jacob/Lavina's household with Jacob age 31 and Lavina age 25. If Lavina was born about 1825 and William and Elizabeth were married 1793, it seems most likely there was a generation in between. I can't find the missing link. Can anyone help? By the way, I am descended from Jacob and Lavina's daughter, Annie Elizabeth.
