Yes, I have this family of John D. Onstott & Rachel Coldiron in my Coldiron database.

Rachel was born 1819 in Harlan Co., KY, the daughter of George Coldiron and Susan (surname unknown). George and Susan left Harlan County in 1831 and went to Missouri. By doing so, they were the first Coldiron family settling west of the Mississippi. Rachel died in 1875 in Jasper Co., MO. She married John D. (Honest John) Onstott 10 Mar 1842 in Jasper Co., MO. They had eight children: Henrietta, Sarah, Nancy, Susan, Abraham, Jane, George, and Elizabeth -- all born Jasper Co., MO.

Rachel's father George was a grandson of Johan Georg Kalteisen (George Coldiron) who immigrated to America, arriving in Philadelphia on 28 Aug 1750. I have over 8,600 descendants of his in my database.

If you would like to follow up and possible exchange information about this family and their descendants, please contact me via e-mail. Would be happy to share information of mutual benefit.

Otto G. Coldiron
