I have not yet specifically researched this family, but I'm very interested in learning about it. It has been quite elusive for me to pin down.

I believe the Catherine Coldiron is a daughter of Conrad Coldiron and Rachel Hendricks. Conrad was the second son of Johan Georg Kalteisen (George Coldiron) who came to America in 1750. I have her name as Katy in my database, but have also seen it as Catherine and also as Caty. Interestingly, her grandmother's name (JGK's wife) was Anna Catherine Schumacher.

There is a marriage for Caty Coldiron and Early Melton in Pulaski Co., KY on 17 Dec 1811.

Chuck Woods at <Sidmanone@aol.com> and Pamela Jean Adams at <jokers@flash.net> have also been researching this family. You might get some help from them.

Otto G. Coldiron
