I centainly wouldn't want to "argue" with the "cousins, but
there is no Colegrove Coat of Arms. Years ago an outfit out of Ohio offered such. Totally fake. The real Coat of arms were approved by the English Monarchy but there were
actually very few in number. They were approved and issued
to an individual but stayed in the family! The Colegrove
family had none but some of our ancestors did. I am from the
John C.line. He married Susannah James. Her G Gf. was John
Coggeshall. The James, Coggeshall and Butter lines all had
a Gov. approved Coat of Arms. (Butter mar. Coggeshall) Their
are prob. others in the family??? I have a book written by
Robert W. Coggeshall with all known Coat of Arms drawings.
Best regards, Garry Colgrove
