Is Nancy Jane Evans the d/o Francis Marion & Dicy Ferrell Evans? If she was, she is the sister of my grandmother Virginia "Jennie" Evans Colegrove. I have been looking for Francis & Dicy's death and burial info. Three Evans sisters married three Colegrove brothers. Jennie is buried in Den Branch, the cemetery is hard to get to and there are quite a few unmarked graves up there. There are 3 cemeteries in Den Branch as far as I know, one is where Ben Colegrove & son Sherman are buried, shortly after that on is where Jennie, my grandmother, she was one of Ben's wives is buried. That one is hard to find, it is up further then down the bank, across the creek then straight up the mountain, I had to climb on my hands and knees to get up. The only other Evans I found was there Francis Marion Evans Jr.(FME,Jr), of course there are quite a few unmarked graves there with just a rock for a tombstone. The last cemetery is further up the hollar and with a fence around it. There is a Evans man and woman buried there, I don't remember their names but I know it wasn't Nancy. Den branch is located south about a tenth of a mile of where Rt 52 & Rt 65 come together in Naugatuck. When you go up the hollar bear to the right past the High School.
