COLGROVE - 1915 - BLACKWOOD
Posted by: Ann Blackwood Chernow Date: September 27, 1998 at 11:39:46

Looking for any information on parents and siblings of a Miss E. Blackwood, living at Bull St., Hackney, London in June, 1915. She is evidently the sister of my grandfather Sidney Blackwood (aka Sydney Raymond Blackwood). Please refer to my earlier postings to the BLACKWOOD Family GenForum.

Sidney Blackwood's NARA immigration record shows him arriving in New York City from Liverpool, England aboard the Cunard liner "Saxonia" on 29 June 1915. He was then age 33 and a steelworker of "English" ancestry. Also noted is that he was to join a friend "Mr. COLGROVE". In 1916, he lived in Bridgeport, Connecticut. We believe he died in abt 1918 as a result of injuries sustained in WWI.

Any information concerning this family or Mr. COLGROVE will be greatly appreciated.
