Kathy,
I will be glad to send you a copy of the certificate. Where do I send it?
I did know about Alta; I just did not have the name of whom she married. Most of my information was collected by my grandmother, Addie Newell Colgin, and my aunt, Dorothy Colgin Spencer. For many years, my grandmother corresponded with the Colgins in Colorado; those included were my great-great uncle, Charley, the youngest of Daniel and Margaret's living children; several of his children or their spouses, and one of George's granddaughters.
Christopher and his wife, Mary Gillham, had nine living children, eight of whom married and had children. I have a lot of first cousins once removed. Mary died in 1952 and Christopher died in 1956. My grandfather, Wilbern Colgin, died in 1957 and my grandmother, Addie, died in 1991. My father, Harold, died in November of 1975.
Linda
