Colgin, Philibert families in Mobile

Just found this very interesting information.

It concerns the hurricaine which hit Mobile on Aug 24, 1852 and the Choctau-Point Clear lighthouse.
Mrs Philibert, who was the lighthouse keeper, was killed in the storm.
Her daughter and son-in-law Emily and William E. Colgin (son of Edward Broadnax Colgin) were rescued, but their two oldest children were drowned with Mrs. Philibert.
