Pat Clark 7/17/04
Hello Pat,
Yes, I'm certain about India. Henry was a cadet at Addiscombe, and arrived at Calcutta in 1855 with the 51st.N.I. He was promoted to Lieut. Colonel in 1878 for services in the Afghan campaign and retired as Colonel. He died at Kingston on Thames in 1901, unmarried.
I skipped when I saw your name though, because his mother was a Clarke before marrying his father, Rev. William Collett of Thetford, Suffolk. If you think you have a connection with these Clarkes please post again, or send me an e-mail
