I can't believe that I didn't stumble across these postings a while ago! My name is Mary Berridge, and I've been desperately trying to find out more about this line of the Colp family for quite a while now. My great grandmother was Mary Beatrice Colp (we called her MaBea or Mimi) and her parents were Tennie A Hendrick and William Colp son of DE and Mary Etta Timms.

It took me ages to find all of this out, especially since I didn't start diving into all of this until after Mimi died in 2000.

Mary Beatrice was born May 12, 1912 in Mansfield, TX and died Feb 3, 2000 of a stroke. She was married to Arthur Rufus "Pop" Echlund (b. 22 Jan 1911 d.20 Aug 1990) they had 2 children, Kenneth (still living) and Helen Marie.
Helen Marie (b. 22 Jun 1931 d. 23 Dec 1990) was my grandmother and was married to Darrell Dean Berridge(b. 22 Jul 1926 d.22 Feb 1986). They had 4 children all of whom are still living: Melinda Kay (who now lives in FL with her husband and five children), Cheryl Ann (who lives in Mary Beatrice's former residence in Forth Worth, TX), Susan Gail(who lives with her husband and two children in Azel, TX), and Edward (who is my father and lives in southern Illinois with his wife, two children and one step-child).

I would love to hear any more info that anyone else might have, and if more info from what I know, please feel free to ask!

Thanks,
Mary Berridge
