I am not sure if this can help. My great grandfather was Monroe D. Colp. My grandfather was Ryburn Robert Colp born in 1896. He lived in Carterville, Il. I was told that my great-great grandfather had founded the town of Colp Il. I was born and raised in Carbondale Il. all of this is in Southern Illinois. My father's name is Bill Colp. Hope this helps. please let me know. Thanks James Colp. P.S. the name Lavina and Sara sound familiar to me.
