David, I have been working on the Coltrain family of Martin County. So I feel comfortable in helping you with those folks:

William Edward Coltrain, b. 1834, son of Major Coltrain and Julia. He is probably still alive in 1880 census of Martin Co.

JD (John Dowell) b. 1830, son of Major Coltrin and Julia. Died in 21 Nov 1917 in Martin County.

Alfred M Coltrain, b. 1837, son of Washington and Temperance Jones Coltrain. He was still alive at the time of the probate of his father's will: 1879 in Martin County.

Charles C Coltrain, b. 1842, son of John James (JJ) Coltrain and wife Lydia. He is probably still alive in 1870 census of Martin County.
