coltrane kirkman frazier

I'm researching my Frazier and Coltrane ancestors. I am following related families Kirkman, Huston, and Coltrane, who might have migrated together.

I'm starting with Charles Kirkman, b about 1875 in Missouri who married Nellie J. Frazier b. about 1874 in Iowa. (From the 1910 Census.) They lived in Kansas.

Nellie J. Frazier's father was Thomas Emmit Frazier b 1845 in Macoupin, IL d. 1916 in Russell, Kansas. Mother was Sydney Rachel Wilson.

Thomas Emmit Frazier's father was William C. (Coltrane?) Frazier b. 1805 in Guilford, NC d. about 1885 in Marion, Iowa.
(From firm family records.)

I am exploring whether Charles Kirkman's father might be L.D. Kirkman b. 1843 in MO (from the 1880 census living in Missouri.) The census states his father was born in North Carolina and his mother in Indiana. L. might be Levin?

I think there were many individuals from the Kirkman and Frazier and Coltrane families that migrated from Guilford NC and environs to the Midwest.

Looking for more information.
