Hi Bill,

I am new at this so please bear with me. My maiden name was Bristow. I am the grandaughter of Charles Anderson Bristow and Flossie Coltrane Bristow from Sophia, NC. My grandmother was born November 7, 1892 in, according to my family Bible, Liberty NC. She was a member of the Old Union Methodist Church, which is also where she is buried.

I have found her name spelled wrong on several areas of research. It is spelled as "Coltrance" and the line stops. I believe it is due to an incorrect spelling, however with SSI, it is Flossie Coltrane Bristow.

I am the daughter of their eldest son, Charles Edwin. I am searching for links to the Coltrane side and am running into stumbling blocks. I believe her father's name was Cicero, however the only Cicero I have managed to find died as a child.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jan Bristow Sizemore
