Robert Haines Frazier, author of "Descendants of David Coltrane and James Frazier of North Carolina", 1961 was my great uncle. He died in Greensboro, NC in 1978 at age 80. Much of his genealogical research has been given to the Guilford College Library in Greensboro, NC, which can be found in the "Quaker Collection" in the Hege Library. I remember him fondly, and just wanted all of you who are researching your Coltrane descendants to know that he would be very pleased that you are adding to ...and in some cases correcting...the research that he did regarding his ancestors. He would be amazed at the information available to us now on the Internet. I imagine there were many hours spent in many Courthouses searching deeds of records for him to compile the information he could find. He would love to know that his "unfinished" book has been a starting point for so many of you. He was interested in the Coltrane family as a whole...not just his "pedigree". He left no children, only 4 great-neices who remember him as their "Uncle Bob".
