Susan,
Thank you for the information. Sarah Columbia Miller was my great-grandmother, dtr. of Phillip Miller. She married Alonzo Miller in 1889, a widower with a dtr. Elizabeth. Sarah and Alonzo raised a child along with their children named Albert J. Taylor but this was Sarah's sister's child, Martha Miller. However, I find the middle name Columbia to be an unusually name and thought that it might be her mother's maiden name. Her father was Phillip Miller. There is a Phillip Miller who comes from Md. who was married to a Sarah Miller (1823) and they died in Fayette Co., Pa. They had a dtr. named Martha also, and the earlier ancestors had the name Christopher Columbus Miller. I think this might be her lineage but I have not come up with proof on it yet,.. for now just a hunch. Again thank you for the tips on Columbia...perhaps it is a family lineage name through a female in Sarah's line. Terrie Raymer
