req. best way to do a genealogy

Trying to do a genealogy. Need help on best way to link blood relatives in some sort of a database for my computer. Does anyone know of a good software package for beginners? That might include half-brothers/sisters and mulitpile marriages. Also would be nice to print mailing lables from the software. Any help would be great. Thank you.
