The Acadians in St. Domingue
According to Harrison Thomas, the Acadians that came from St. Domingue were Black slaves. I have proven Harrison Thomas wrong in his LeBlanc, LaTour and Richard ancestry. His revenge was to portray my White Acadian ancestors as Black in his WorldConnect Project and post this information on the genealogy forums. This man is very stupid and very vengeful. All online researchers need to be very wary of this man and steer clear of him if at all possible. He can not take criticism nor admit he is wrong. It makes him vengeful and resentful and very, very malicious.
Harrison Thomas can not prove any of his LeBlanc's or LaTour's or Richard's were from the lines he claimed. So he has invented a new history for our Acadians and says that they were a Black nation out of Africa that migrated to Louisianna from Nova Scotia.....HA! What a fantasy and what a delusional mind Harrison has!!!
Harrison has claimed that my Pierre Richard, Sr. family were Black slaves owned by Blaise Brasseaux and now claims that the Simon Joseph LeBlanc family were Black slaves on St. Domingue. Such stupidity!!! Such ignorance!!!
Here is what renown LeBlanc researcher Stanley LeBlanc has to say on the matter.
Lee,
I've found that some persons are just determined not to let "facts" get in the way of their interpretations. Mr. Thomas apparently hasn't studied the history of the Acadians. Many Acadians were lured to St. Domingue with the promise of free land but most died of disease and the climate. The Acadians from Halifax with Joseph Broussard did go to St. Domingue before going to LA and many other Acadians came to LA from St. Domingue.
