Hi. My Dad's parents came through NY city around the turn of the century from Naples, Italy. Their names were Nikolas Competillo and Lucia (SanMartino) Competillo. I am not sure of the spellings. My dad told me they the immigration office wrote down their names when they said it, so it has always been Competillo for us. My family has always pronounced the name as Compitello. Nicolas supposedly had brothers that settled elsewhere. My dad thought it was the Chicago are, but we never found any relatives anywhere. Of course, we haven't really looked much either. Sorry, I know nothing about a Clara.
