Am Looking For My Half Sister, Daughter of Elsie Catherine Comstock Freeman
Hi All,
I am looking for my half sister, name unknown, but was born to Elsie Catherine Comstock Freeman and John Sherman Freeman in 1933 or 1934 Kansas City. I believe this would have been in the Northern end of KC, part of Clay County.
Elsie Catherine Comstock was born in 1898/1899 to George W. Comstock, b. 06 Mar 1857 in Missouri - d. 30 Sep 1931 in Randolph County, Missouri.
Elsie was first married to Herman Halton Haynie on 10 Nov. 1917 in Moberly, Randolph County, MO, moved to KC before 1920 and they divorced sometime before 1930. Elsie remained in KC the remainder of her life and died in KC in 1973. Elsie and Herman had a daughter abt. 1920 named Mildred.
Elsie met my father, John Freeman and they were married on 14 Sep. 1932 in Kansas City, Clay County. The marriage did not last long before my father left Elsie. Two years later, my dad was back in KC and saw a friend who also know Elsie as well and told my father they had a daughter of which my father knew nothing about until then as dad left before he knew Elsie was pregnant.
I have been looking for my half sister since the early 1970's, but with little information and using the US Mail to communicate until now. I sent in an ad to the KC newspaper looking for Elsie Freeman or her daughter, but never received any replies.
Now with the use of the Internet, I have been able to research Elsie and know her entire life history, but nothing about my half sister.
Does ANYONE know anything about Elsie Freeman and her 2nd daughter born as a Freeman? I am hoping so very much to see and get to know my sister before one of us passes away. Elsie's 2nd daughter, my half sister would be abt. 80 years old now, if still alive and I am 63 years old.
Please! If you recognize Elsie's father, George W. Comstock of Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri or Elsie Catherine Comstock Freeman, PLEASE, PLEASE contact me.
Respectfully,
Arthur Freeman
