Hi! Carol thanks for your reply so quickly. I am at a bit of a loss too, I think the Condy family had many branches in Co.Tyrone mostly, and of course with the old naming patterns, they all called their children the same names, hence our dilemma in finding families who tie up.
As to the ancestors of Woodrow Wilson and Ulysses S.Grant, the only thing I know for sure is the "S" in U.S. Grant's name stands for Simpson, my grandmother's cousin was a Simpson(her mother was a Condy before marriage) who lived in the original cottage associated with U.S.Grant's mother(not the new one the Americans built), and sometime in the 1950's she got a letter from her cousin telling her that Americans had come and placed a plaque on the wall of the cottage commemorating President Grant.
