My Condys immigrated to the US back in 1876. One of their siblings, Elizabeth Condy stayed behind and married John Armstrong in Killen Co. in 1883. They had a daughter Isabella, born 1901. Marriage was witnessed by Hugh Wilson, a relative of the Condy family.
Archie Condy and his younger brother, Hamilton are the only 2 that I know that came to the States. Their parents were Alexander Condy who married Isabell unknown. Many of their cousins and uncles from the Wood family were here. Samuel Wood lived in York, NE, USA and his parents were Samuel Wood and Jennie Wilson. Archie Condy married his cousin, Mary Wood, sister of Samuel Wood. There was also Bell Wood, a spinster who came to the US.
My husband's Bennetts were from the Baltimore, MD, USA area and were colonists, so have been here for generations. Don't know much any further back than about 1820.
Carol Condy-Bennett
would love to hear from you. Perhaps our Isabell's will tie in.
