I have reviewed my Conerly files and found just a little information on Sarah Conerly which you may already have.At any rate, here it is:If you can get hold of a copy of Luke Ward Conerly's "History of Pike County Mississippi,"it contains a review of the descendents of John (1718-1751) and Keziah Herring (1715-1751) Conerly of Johnston and Duplin County, NC.John's will leaves his Duplin County land to his two sons William and Cullen. Our lines descend from Cullen (1745-1811) and Letitia Ward (1748-1846) Conerly. His will list 10 children, the most important to us being Owen and William. My line continues down from Owen Conerly (Sr.) and Mary Wilkinson (Russell), to his son John Russell Conerly and Elizabeth Henrietta Tynes ( the latter moving from NC to Mississippi to Vernon Parish, LA.John is buried at Holly Grove Cemetery.
To return to Owen, Sr's. brother William, the descendency chart does not show a birth date but it must have been within a few years of Owen's which was 1777 in Duplin County, NC.William is shown as havind died prior to 1848 in Marion County, Mississippi. He was married (1) in 1814 in Duplin County, NC, to Sarah Brown b. 1799, living in Washington Parish in 1860.They had five children (listed):Amanda b. 1816, md. John Pigott Stogner b.1817, anoted chairmaker;Stephen b. 1826, md. Ascenith __ and lived in Washington Parish in 1860;Sarah T. b. 1828, md. in 1847 in Marion Co. MI, to James McNabb;Elizabeth (Betsy) Jane b.1833, d. 3/12/1910 in Washington Parish, md. __Hodge (possibly George W.);and Mary Ann b. ca 1836, md. __Breland and had a son George. She is possibly the Mary Breland who was a deaconess in Crain's Creek Baptist Church and who died 2/17/1907.(Here the chart contains the following insert):"William Conerly apparently divorced Sarah ca 1835/36 and md 2) in 1835 in Marion Co, MI, Eliza Cameron b. ca 1819/1820.Issue:Melissa b. 1839, William James b.1842, Caroline b. 1837, John (called Jacky in 1850 and Jackson in 1860) b. 1843, and Winny (called Sarah in 1860) b. 1845."
Please let me know if this is helpful and if you have any questions.
