In Conger Family of America, Volume I, p. 480 the family of Stephen Marshall Conger is listed. His father is listed as Frederick Marshall Conger, b. 1766. Has anyone linked this Conger branch to the family tree of John Belconger?

He was "of Newbrough, New York." He may have been the
Stephen Conger who was the 1st Superintendent of Schools
in Newark City in 1851. The family is buried at the
First Presbyterian Church at Newark, NJ.
