Thank you for the information on Elisha Wilson CONGER family. On the 1910 Johnson County, Oklahoma census, his wife, Jane BURTON shows be be born in Nebraska. By chance, do you have any information on the BURTON family?

The CONGER and BURTON families appear to have been in Oklahoma in 1900, but I haven't located them, as yet.

Yes, I do have a few questions about the CONGER heritage. One CONGER family in Oklahoma may have been Sac & Fox indian. There are early land records of an E.C. CONGER and an H.S. CONGER in the Township 16 N Range 2 East in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. This is the Kickapoo and Sac & Fox area of Oklahoma. Do you know of any CONGER's having a native american background? In addition, the CONGER's from Seminole County, OK believe they may be of Indian descent because of dark hair and complexion within family members. I also have heard that the CONGER name may be from Alsace. If you have any information that may shed light on these questions, I certainly would appreciate your comments.
