Richard,

There is a possibility that I have information on this family but I need first names, etc. My great great grandfather, John (Conger) Conker married a Miss Schwaub. His son, Jonathan (Conger) Conker married Lydia Cunningham in Jackson Co., VA, now WV. My grandfather, Robert Mason Conker born in Jackson Co., VA. My father, Samuel Crossman Conker born in Charleston, WV. I, Lydia C. Pierson, was born in Charleston, May 7, 1944.

Jonathan Conger during the outbreak of the Civil War moved his family to Meigs County, OH. but later in life came back to West Virginia. He or part of his family may have settled in Jackson County, Ohio, for awhile. There were 12 children of Jonathan and Lydia (Conger) Conker.

Also there are some Conger Family Books - Vol. I and II but they are out of print, I think. There is a Conger Confab Newsletter maintained by Job C. Conger, IV. Email him at
AeroKnow.com or write him at 428 W. Vine St., Springfield, IL. 62704-2933. He is on the Internet, also. He is not a genealogist but you can add information to the newsletter as I did. Years ago the "Conker" name had been spelled "Conger" by Jonathan's English employer. That is why I got in touch with him. Still not sure of a connection with their family, yet. Please contact me at my email address if you would like.

Lydia
