Lynn F. Scarengos:

I am Sue Conlan's cousin, Jim. Our common ancestor is Andrew Conlan (1841-1913). He arrived in NY in 1862. He married Catherine Byrne. It was his son, James, who married Catharine Fitzpatrick.

Togher in Clonmore, Louth, is in the Poor Law Union of Drogheda and Drogheda is - in family oral tradition - the place of origin for the family.

Andrew Conlan's parents were Patrick Conlan and Mary Kiernan. As they had Andrew in 1841, they must have been contemporaries of your Conlans, if not immediate relatives.

Jim Scheer, Ottawa, Canada
