George Connell (Connal) and Glengoyne Distillery

Looking for any ancestors from the George and Margaret (Duncan) Connell family for the Burnfoot farm, Parish Killearn in Stirlingshire, Scotland. Both were born about 1806 and family included Elizabeth, Andrew, Janet, Helen, Margaret, Robina and George. The family farmed at Burnfoot and George established the Burnfoot Distillery later renamed GlenGuin and then Glengoyne - its current name. The family were later at Skipperton farm in Falkirk through the 1850s and 60s, By 1881 they were retired from farming and living with daughter Elizabeth in Drymen. At this time George Jr was a tramway clerk in Glasgow and Elizabeth was a general merchant in Balfron.

If I am not mistaken there were "Mills" in the next generation.

Family information and early history or records of Glengoyne are sought.
With thanks
James Hay Cuthill
