Connell/Dozier/Cook/NC/GA/AL
This is a shot in the dark but I'm hoping someone somewhere can tie into these families. I mainly research the Cook families in Hancock and Washington Counties, Georgia, but when i found a little information with the Dozier name in Hancock which I descend also, it started looking like clues to me. According to the Hancock County, Georgia 1820 Census, which is very hard to read we have a found a William Dosier(Dozier) based on the standard 1820 form the following: 1-1-0-0-1-0 (males) 0-0-1-0-0 (Females) Okay, Cook's, Connell's and a Dosier was in Hancock at the same time frames. I think my Dozier's may tie into the Nash County, NC and my Cook's I'm looking for Allen Cook married Lydia(Lidda) Joice(Joyce) were born born between 1775-1785 in NC. They are in Hancock, then Washington Counties Georgia then Cook families came to Alabama, my Cornelius in abt 1854 or1855. But the Dozier's came to Sumter County Ga then to Macon County, AL Which the Connell's did too. Does anyone have any clues or possibilities that may tie into the families?
I hope this helps someone, even if it doesn't link to my families. Wondered about William Dozier Sr./Avarilah Connell families.
