Whew!! It looks like you have about all of the info on Martin Conroy.

Since you now know Martin's parent names, you can search for their marriage rcds. If these exist, they SHOULD ID their parents' names. This will take you back one more generation. Just remember the cautions in my original post - rcds before 1840 are increasingly sparse.

As to other info available in this database, consider entering all of your info except for the forename and DOB. Then, sequentially enter each letter of the alphabet and search. This should identify all the potential siblings for whom rcds were created.

As to other Irish info, use Google to see if there are online histories of Galway, and specifically of Rosmuc parish. While you might know the townland name, the chances are small that any info for such a small subdivision exist.

The National Library of Ireland (NLI) has extensive rcds. However, 1,000 yrs of Irish historical rcds were destroyed in the Four Courts fire of 1922 during the Irish Civil War. The NLI has tried to recreate the lost rcds using secondary sources. Also, the NLI rcds are generally not accessible online. Contact it to find what it really has and how you can best work with it to get what they have. My guess is this course will likely involve an expense.

For passage to the U.S., google "castlegarden" and/or "ISTG" for passenger rcds.
