Constantines in Bangor ME 1800's

I am trying to find my father's ancestors who came to Maine from County Clare, Ireland. They settled near Bangor Maine in the early to mid 1800's. My problem is that I can't find Constantines in County Clare for that time period. I have some information that a Daniel and Bridget from Ennis were the parents of Michael who came over at some point in the mid 1800's. I am wondering if the Considine name may have become Constantine over here, or if this is an entirely different family. Any help would be most appreciated.
