Dear Karen. Researching the Constantines here in Australia especially those from Joseph constantine a "Chartist" transorted to Tasmania in 1849.His parents were George and Sarah (nee Alldred) from Ashton under Lyne near Manchester. The names Jane, Eliza, Elizabeth, Alice, Ann and John appear in his family. We have heard from one researcher that the Constantines originated in Hawes and so my interest in your message. George and Sarah were married in Leigh and lived at Tyldesley. Hoping you might have some further information - warmest regards christopher constantine
