Hello
I am interested IF you know anything of this Alexander Contee listed in information below?I am also interested if you have any idea how William Hooke connects?
Notes:Marriages and Deaths in St. Mary's County states that Richard Llewellin married by 1706 to Jane Orrill. According to the following Jane was the daughter of Thomas:
The will of Thomas Orrell of Charels County, written in 1719, mentions daughter Jane Lewellin, son-in-law Richard Lewellin, grandson John and grand-dau. Margaret Lewellin and grandson Richard Roger (MCW 5.51). the 1722 will of his daughter, Jane Llewellin, widow of Charles County, mentions a tract called Green Spring in St. Mary's County, bequeathed to Richard Rogers and hrs. This will also mentions Alexander Contee (MCW V.120). William Hooke of St. Mary's County left Richard Rogers, John and Margaret Lewellin, 1s eah (MCW VI.11).
Jane was the Executrix of Thomas' Will
Notes:Why does William Hooke leave the same to Richard Rogers as he does to Jane Orrell's children in his Will.Jane was her father Thomas' Executrix. Jane Llewelyn leaves Richard Rogers part of her estate and land in St. Mary's. Why did she leave this part of her estate to Richard Rogers, her nephew?
Information on Jane Orrell, sources include: Jane (Jano) Orrell, Jane is listed several times in Charles County records. She is mentioned in Thomas's Will. Also, she was Executrix of Thomas's Will dated 1721.1723 Charles County Inventories Liber 2 Page 126, 1724 Charles County Accounts Liber 6 folio 169
