On the marriage record for Elizabeth Convey and William Lee, her mother's surname is listed as Hennigan (might be Hannigan). Marriage record for Catherine Convey and Thomas O'Brien says Hannigan, and that one's written pretty clearly. My mother also has a birth index from Ballina that lists her as Bridget Hennigan married to Patrick Convey, a tailor (births listed are Margaret and Catherine, so two separate records with Hennigan as surname). I can't find my copy of Bridget Convey/James Foley's marriage record, but will check with my mom tomorrow - she probably has it somewhere, she always has more original records than I do (my research mostly expands on her original work). I haven't heard Kennedy before, though. I had John Phillip Foley, eighth child of James and Bridget, as born 18 Oct 1903 and christened 1 Nov 1903. Can you let me know which record says 1907 so I can cross-check? Thanks :D
I do have a funny story about Bridget Convey-Foley that you might enjoy: "Once, when an insurance salesman came to the door, she told her son Joe to say she wasn't home. He did, but proceeded to talk away to the man, knowing she'd be upset. So she unscrewed the top of the bedpost and lobbed it at his head."
Also: nice to meet you - we are, if I figure this correctly, second cousins once removed :)
