Kathy, if this Jacob on the 1880 census is your James Jacob, it would be reasonable to assume that the William T and Martha would be his uncle and aunt.Ancestry.com has a big listing for the line of William T, his brother David is probably the father of Franklin born 1852, but it doesn't show who this Benjamin F married or who his children were.Since the children shown on the 1880 census are most of the ones you said your aunt remembered, it would also be a good clue that this is the right family.I looked at the 1900 census and could not find your James Jacob on it.I looked at all the Cooks in Wood County and he wasn't there.Could he have lived somewhere else for a time?I also did not find him on the 1930 in Wood Co., WVA.Good luck to you in your search.
