Hi Louis,
I wrote to you literally a couple of hours or so ago, but feel that I need to add something further to my message.
Since writing I have found your gravestones of Hartford message and I am quite certain that the first item regarding Ellen Cookson is in fact my Great Great Grandmother; her maiden name being Vernon. Most of the other names are relevant although I must admit I hadn't come across Alfred. The 1881 census includes both Ada A and Louisa who at that time was two months old, and presumably in the next three years or so would have died.
As Ellen had died in 1874, Joseph Cookson must have married again as the 1881 census refers to a Mary J Cookson being his wife and of course this fits in with Louisa only being two months old. I haven't found a maiden name for his second wife, but it is Ellen Cookson who is my bloodline.
The 1881 census also includes Josephand Charles, sons of Joseph, and I am sure that they would be the last two inscriptions to which you refer as the ages match the information I have.
I assume that Sara Hannah and Rosina are their respective spouses, although I have nothing to back that theory.
I have only been researching my tree for some twelve months, but information like this is invaluable.
If I can throw any lght on your research, please let me know, and if I am able to assist you I will be pleased to do so.
Thanks again.
Alan Cookson, Bolton, Lancashire, England.
