My mother was Josephine Cooolidge, daughter of Joseph W Coolidge. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Her Father was the son of Henry P. Coolidge, a Founder of the city of Glenwood, Iowa. Her mother was Grace Neath, Joesph's second wife.a

Joseph was an engineer with the Union Pacific RR; He died while on a run to Columbus, Nebraska.

My great-Great Grandfather was also nemed Jos Wellington Coolidge, of Far West, Mo, Nauvoo, Il, and Glenwood, Ia. He was a Mormon, and one of Joseph Smith's original Council of fifty. He was the builder of the Smith home in Nauvoo; Also the executor ot Smith's estate. I have followed the lineage somewhat to a John Coolidge of Watertown, Mass, but details are sketchy.

If you wish to research this further, you may start with
The History of Platte County, Nebraska.

Thank You, REay Taber
