Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Henry Cooner (1764, PA - 1850, PA) was my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather. He was married to Elizabeth Clark. They had my Great-Great-Grandfather William S. Cooner (1818, Shamokin, PA) who married Elizabeth Reader (b. McEwansville, PA). One of their 16 children was my Great-Grandfather Horatio H. Cooner (16 Jan 1865, Watsontown, PA - 18 May 1943, Brooklyn, NY) who married Anna Bungarz. Their 3rd child was my Grandmother Margaret Anna Cooner (10 Apr 1908 - 19 Jun 1975 Sayre, PA). She married Martin James Barrett ( 11 Nov 1905 - June 1966, Waverly, NY). My father was Martin James Barrett Jr (12 Jun 1927 - 26 Sep 1991, Wellsboro, PA). I am Martin Jr's oldest child, Martina J. Barrett Strouble. I have been trying to connect the PA Cooners to the Orangeburg, SC Jacob and John Cooner. The original name was Kuhner and they were Dutch. E-mail me direct at tinastrouble@woh.rr.com.
