Judy, yes, I am a descendent of one of the Coonrod brothers that came to Fannin County, Texas. My great grandfather was Thomas J. Coonrod and he was married to Elizabeth Catherine. My grandfather was one of their nine children, William Layfayette.Because they continued to use the same names in the family, it is very confusing. There is also a Thomas J. Coonrod and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth, who are buried in the old Coontown Cemetery, here in Fannin County.I assume they were cousins because they were about the same age.My greatgrandfather & greatgrandmother are buried in the Leonard Cemetery, Fannin County.I feel sure that we are descendants of the same Coonrod family that originally lived in Greene County, Illinois.Hopefully I will learn more when I explore resources in Greene County this summer.I will be there during the first week of July.Let's keep in touch.Charlotte Coonrod Wells
