Hi Paul

From what I have been told from several sources is that Copeman comes from the dutch Koopman which apparently means .."Seller of goods" The Copeman's arrived in the area of Norfolk England in 15th century from the Netherlands. there is a lot of information on Copeman in the www.genuki.org.uk
then go to Norfolk genealogy towns and parishes... Aylsham...
